The team at Merit Roofing was great to work with. They came out to my parent's home in Northwest Houston (20 year roof), completed our inspection, showed us exactly the issues our roof had and gave us a great quote. We had spoken to other contractors and the quotes were much higher. We were debating between going through insurance or paying out of pocket and they were great about answering all of our questions and even providing financing options if we decided to go the out-of-pocket route. Very professional and top-notch service. We were very happy with our new roof. We may be working with them in the future on new siding as well. Merit roofing did a great job installing our new roof. We worked with Ray and he was very knowledge and easy to work with. They were on time and finished our roof in one day. I can't say enough about Merit Roofing and Construction. We first came together in November of 2023 for a new roof. After going through that process with them and discussing other home improvement projects they can do we never looked back. They are people of their word, provide very good pricing and great craftsmanship. We have used them for a new roof, new flooring, sheetrock projects, new fireplace facade, kitchen updates including custom cabinets, and new siding. With the number of projects we have done with them, naturally there will be some hiccups along the way, but they are very receptive to correcting any issues and understanding what the customer needs. After Hurricane Beryl hit on July 11, 2024, we noticed water dripping into the attic. We have Windstorm Insurance (which is quite expensive). We contacted TWIA and an inspector approved replacement of our roof. Merit Roofing was one of three estimates we got for the job. they had the best price and appeared to have the expertise of how to work with insurance so that everything was properly covered. The process was a mess.  Very sloppy, nails blown into pool, clean as you go non existent, what should have taken 1 day to almost three was under staffed. We had to clean the entire back yard and pool area after they left.

The area around my ceiling fan started showing slight dampness, and at first, I assumed it was just some kind of electrical condensation issue. It didn’t seem serious enough to worry about immediately. However, when they came in for inspection, they took a much deeper look above that section and discovered a small leak that was actually traveling along a pipe support. What made it tricky was that the water wasn’t dripping straight down—it was moving indirectly, which made the source very difficult to detect earlier.
